Classification Data

Ø Classification Tags: All the Asset Tags, Functional, Location Tags in the Project are termed as Classification tags in X4D

Ø Classification Tables:

•Shall be preferably maintained in X4D based on Discipline and Type of Document in which this Tag List will be issued

•Follow a Naming Convention as [XXXX]_DATA_[YYYY], where XXXX is Discipline owning TAG and YYYY is the Type of TAG

•Has mandatory Columns as [TAG NO], [Classification], {Description], [Location] and [ModelStatus]

•Other columns required can be added or deleted anytime.

•Other columns are not used by X4D, however are helpful for getting information in X4D and easy TAG search

ØAdministration of Classification TAB: Linked tables

Projects which maintain the TAG data outside of X4D databases like Excel Files, other SQL Databases or Oracle databases, create the Linked Table and column configuration in X4D for data import. X4DTable shall be as per X4D naming conventions.

Maintain the configuration of the Source Type, Connection, TableName, X4DTable, Import and PreserveStaging Flags in this table.

Import Flag can be turned off (0), in case import is no more required or broken links.

X4D imports table into Staging Area, process them to include required columns and delete columns not required. If PreserveStaging flag is on (1) system retains a copy of imported table else, it deletes the imported table after processing.

t_X4DAdmin_LinkedServerColumns

Maintain the configuration of Imported Table Columns.

After the import, Mandatory Columns are added in the table and existing Column may be renamed, removed (InX4D = 0), re-Sequenced before saving in X4D. This provides an option to cleanup imported data of tables.

ØAdministration of Classification TAB: Excel Table Imports

ØProjects in which the TAG data is maintained in Excel files, Excel files are also imported in the system and handled the same way as in Linked tables mentioned in earlier para.

ØClassification Table Imports when the Project Procedure p_X4DAdmin_Project_DataLoad (Explained in Data Import Section) is executed.

ØAfter the import of all Classification tables, X4DApp shall be opened to review the classification tables, check the filters etc.
