Common Project Data and Visualization Platform

X4D System allows a common platform for 3D Model and associated Engineering and Construction Data irrespective of which design system is used on the project.

 

Typically a Full Project may include multiple combinations of Design Systems for:

Ø3D models, Process P&IDs, Instrumentation and Control, Electrical Systems, Structural Design, Civil Design, Material Management, Planning and Scheduling, Documentation

ØProminent Systems used for the above are:

Intergraph: PDS, SmartPlant 3D, SmartPlant P&IDs, SmartPlant Instrumentation, SmartPlant Electrical, SmartPlant Materials

Aveva: Aveva P&IDs, Aveva PDMS, E3D, Aveva Instrumentation, Aveva Electrical

AutoDesk: AutoCAD P&ID, Plant Design Suite, Inventor, AutoDesk Instrumentation

Solidworks: Solidworks 3D CAD

Bentley: Open Plant P&ID, Bentley Plant Design, Bentley Instrumentation

Planning and Scheduling: Primavera, Microsoft Project

Documentation: SharePoint, Documentum, Infoworks, LiveLink etc.

All the above systems data is imported into common X4D Database and 3D model into Navisworks Model. Thus allowing the model review and data navigation in consistent manner without depending on the source of data.

Lending itself to a mobile platform, X4D System helps progress work more efficiently by accepting input from a variety of contributors, managers, supervisors and various project members both office and field.

Master TAG Registry:

ØX4D maintains all the Asset and Functional Tags and their Properties on the project

ØAll the Tags and Group of Tags are termed as Classification Tags based on their common Discipline, Attributes, Progressing, Preservation, Maintainability etc.

ØData from all the Engineering, Planning, Materials, Construction and Documentation Systems is linked to Tags in the Master TAG Registry.

Ø3D model is synced with Master TAG Registry which allows the Data and Document Integration in 3D

ØAll the required engineering data of Pipe, Equipment, Raceway, Instruments, Electrical, Structural, Civil, Documents can be accessed via 3D model

ØVice versa, All the Tags as well as Tag Groups can be accessed in 3D

 

3D Model Review Platform:

ØX4D prefers Navisworks as a 3D model viewer for it's compatibility with most engineering systems

ØAll versions of Navisworks viz. Simulate, Manage and Freedom are supported.

ØSimulate and Manage offers full functionality but Freedom is limited to review of X4D information packaged in NWD file

ØOptimized macros and procedures for converting miscellaneous 3D models to Navisworks are provided

ØX4D is also compatible with Aveva Review and future compatibly is also planned for SmartPlant Review, Comos Walkinside, Unity3D Review

 

Linked Server Import Gateways:

ØX4D provide configurable Linked Server Gateways to link to multiple Database systems viz: SQL Server, Oracle, Excel, XML, Dabacon (Aveva)

ØThese gateways are used to Import data from the existing Engineering, Planning, Scheduling, Material and Documentations systems

ØThe gateways can be run individually and can be scheduled as a batch process

ØLinked Servers uses intermediate Staging Area for data import allowing a customized filter for data import

 

Comments Collaboration:

ØAll Official and Internal Design Review Comments are Centrally Stored in X4D.

ØAll users can instantly review the comments and provide the feedback to comments

ØOnly Authorized users can close a comment

ØComments could be assigned to a Review Session with Distribution List.

ØAll Session comments could be Packaged into common PDF and sent to distribution list team

X4D Construction Databases layer is provided over the Engineering Databases to manage Construction, Materials and Documents Data.

3D Simulation and Planning:

ØX4D Provides a library of multiple 3D objects to be used in Model

ØCompany can also load their own 3D objects in the model

ØFor planning and obstruction volume identification, these objects can be placed at various locations in the 3D model

ØThese objects can be Scaled, Moved or Duplicated

ØThese objects can be assigned a Tag as well as Catalog attribute information i.e. a full MTO of these items can be extracted.

ØObject Locations are saved in X4D allowing all team members to work simultaneously in the model
